We know you love Windows XP, and you're in good company. Millions of Windows XP users are fans of the operating system, and many depend on Windows XP to run earlier applications and hardware that is not compatible with Windows 7.

As of September 31st Windows XP still has about 60% of the market share. You need to lump Windows 7 and Vista together to get 30% of the remaining piece of the pie.

This means any major consumer software developer would be crazy to release a new product that does not support Windows XP or if they do, they kiss goodbye to more than 50% of potential customers.

There is still reason for XP lovers to rejoice. While you may no longer be able to buy computers with XP preinstalled from the big name PC manufactures, there are still small independent system builders would can create a computer with the latest hardware With an OEM or Retail version of Windows XP installed.
