Tonight I took time to watch the 32nd Annual Kennedy Center Awards among which Bruce Springsteen was one of several deserved awardees.
They had a small Bio of Bruce in his early days in New Jersey and the shore points which was the place to be back then. Having been a DJ around that time frame I heard countless singers and groups, all as good or even better than the big stars but for some reason or other never had the breaks go their way.
I can’t help but wonder if I was listening to the Bruce in his early days and perhaps even walked past him somewhere or sometime and never knew it.
Fortunately for all of us Bruce climbed that long hard ladder and became the Boss.
